Title: Returning a rod for warranty work
Post by: nickredway on January 14, 2011, 09:45:27 PM
Hi,
Just a quick question. I have a 2 piece 9' TFO fly rod I need to post off for some warranty work - does anyone know where I can procure a tube suitable for posting it off in?

Phone your local tackle shops and see if they have any tubes you could ship it in. They usually have all kinds of tubes from when they get orders in and they usually keep them in a back corner just for this kind of thing.

That's exactly what I did. Got them for free.

Hopefully you get it back nice and quick. I sent out a rod to them in November and got it back two days after it arrived at their shop in Calgary. Can't beat that  :)

You could go to rona and buy 5 " of 2' pvc  pipe with  some end caps? Shouldn't be more than $10

He's looking for a rod tube, not a cake box.   ;D
