Myself personally i am a weekday fisherman i avoid fishing on the weekends.
-
I fish when ever there is time .....
-
Check the signature line: Any River, Any time! ;D
That said I go whenever I basically feel like it. Usually take into account the river conditions and recent reports that are reliable.
And still, even though those might be good, I will often avoid the weekends on the higher traffic waters.
Cheers,
Nog

mmm im more along the lines of .... spare day = fishing day haha
-
I'll fish any day. But I usually have weekdays off which works
Nicely for reduction of crowds
-
if i have time to fish weekdays, then i will but it's mostly weekends
-
Both
-
weekend warrior :)
-
When ever I can find the time
-
I live 10 mins away from a local river and work out of a home office.
So anytime I have an hour or two to spare during weekdays, I am out on the river fishing.
Whether I could fish on weekends depends on family schedule, but my wife will let me off the hook one of the two days. ;D
-
Whenever I can slip away from work or get in enough 'points' with the missus... ;D
-
Either or, whenever the opportunity presents itself and I feel like it.
-
Both ;)
-
Generally speaking, it has to be the weekends for me.
-
any days possible, and that happen to be mostly weekdays for me.
-
Usually fridays, or when ever I get the itch.
Morning time seems to be the best time of day, but I hear you can catch steelies in the evening too.
Good luck all.
-
Now retired for 2 years so in that time frame have only fished during the week.
-
if i went a month without a fish going 5 days a week i would seriousley check what im doing wrong?
Not necessarily... A lot people (especially us younger guys) are capable of covering A LOT of water each trip, significantly increasing our chances of hooking up. But I've met a quite a few older gents on the river that are quite content with covering the same 200 m of water day in and day out, doing all the right things but only hook up once every few weeks. I don't know Fin, but his being on disability leave might suggest that he's not rigorously covering water.

There is no set time or place its whenever, wherever! lol
-
I like to go in the middle of the night.
Weeekday weekend,it dont matter. ;)
-
i will go fish usually on weekends and the odd times on weekdays
-
Weekdays for myself when layed off...funny how I always get layed off just before Steelhead season! ;D
-
weekdays
-
both sunday/ monday are my days off
-
I'm a weekend warrior but when ever I see the opportunity to take a weekday off and fish I jump on it.
My disability is a scam, there is nothing wrong with me or the way I fish. I cover a lot of water everyday, its just bad luck. And riverbum, I'm sure you catch tons of fish when you re mommy drives you to the river, lol. Anyways whats the longest you guys out there have gone without a fish? And be honest.....
This is my first year fishing for steelhead and the longest I've gone without at least a hookup is 4 trips :-\ except for the start of the season (December) when I was completely clueless. There were also a lot less fish in the system.
-
i work five weeks on five weeks off so when i am home it is game on! try to get out 5 day a week and let the weather and the fish decide which days they are.
-
i try to avoid the weekend crowds as much as possible, so mostly weekdays
-
Steelhead season I am fishing on weekdays, slow period for my Business. Come Late Summer and Fall season I am weekend warrior..... business is busy.

and defintly not many people out on mondays and tuesdays, only saw 4 people in upper river today
-
i fish whenever i feel like it, weekends or weekday evernings, for however long, which turns out to be very often as i live 1 min walk to the vedder ;D
-
I am a strictly weekends (with few exceptions), for similar reasons as steelie (I say similar, as I am on the other side of the desk from him). And the longest I have gone without a fish is over a year (my last steelhead landed was last February), and RB, I know what I am doing wrong. I fish flies only and while I have learned ways to fish more than the traditional "fly water" I am still unable to fish certain prime holding water effectively and I often pass well known spots over due to the desire for more open runs to cast. Still, despite the occasional hook up this year, I have been disappointed with my success rate as I have fished runs that I am certain have fish in them without getting a take. I also know other fly fishers who have had more success than I (although they are also getting out more often as well) using the same patterns and lines and even fishing the same areas. Getting that one bite though, that quick head shake, that snapped leader, is still enough to keep me happy and searching out those secluded waters to swing a fly.
-
Weekends only, but I have hardly fished this steelhead season. Been out maybe four times altogether - two of them on the Stamp.
Hoping stillwater season changes that.
Boat in the water on a quiet lake...no crowds...big rainbows and brookies on the fly...can't wait. ;D
-
Whenever I can get the time in.. Rain or Shine
-
I try and get out once a week on the weekends...and if I can, try a night bite if the wife has a show she wants to watch. I have no idea how to fish for cutties on the lower fraser...so it's off to the vedder for steelheads or to a local lake for trout...had great success at Lafarge two weeks ago but got skunked at Sasamat on Saturday.
-
I work 130 days a year. The rest of the time fish hard! ;D
-
Any day I can convince the wife to take care of our newborn on her own!
