Post by: deepcovehooker on January 10, 2011, 10:05:25 AM
Can anyone tell me if the camera is still operating and what the address is if it is?  Thanks!

I don't think it is. It used to be off this site: www.kidsinthenest.com

Thank I kind of thought it was.  ! ???  To bad as the pictures were great for determining the flow.  I do look at the water levels on the web page but it does not give the same feel.

Surely a well placed and managed camera would produce enough web 'hits' to get reasonable sponsorship and thus pay for itself after an initial investment?

Something like a Cap River cam would be great.
Maybe the Van Kayak Club could be pursuaded to put up a cam?  ;)

A camera on that river would be nice.
There was a camera before last year? wow that must have been great, cant they just change the battery? I gots $5.00 on it.
Maybe they will get it working again.
The Cap cam is sweet as its usually hit\miss depending on water level ive noticed.
Guys here provide good info on water level and conditions, but the cam is pretty sweet.
