Title: Vancouver Island Steel
Post by: legend on December 28, 2010, 08:26:58 PM
Been fishing the Cowichan before all the rain earlier this month with only one hook up, on the fly mind you but only stayed pinned for a few minutes. Then the rains came and the river became un fishable so it was time to explore some new water bodies. Good move 3 trips 12 steelies after 50 trips last season and only 1 fish to show for it I was over due and to get 7 chromers on boxing day  alone the fish gods are with me right now.

Stren clear blue fluorescent 17lb perfect for little steelies im sure it will work for big ones as well ;D. It is a good line just bought a center pin and the guy at my local shop reccomended it you can see it and gives you great control over your float.
