"we will be working to manage and foster its sustainable development".
-does this mean expansion of atlantic salmon farms as we know it in B.C waters?
also Mary Ellen Walling, director of salmon farmers association "welcomes" this move...if SHE is happy about this, this leads me to beleive opponents of fish farms should be concerned about this?
basically as an opposer of fish farms in bc waters, should we be more or less concerned over what this means for the future of the industry in our province.
my first thought is "Fish farmers now have a bigger entity furthering their cause". is this off base?

I you look at how the DFO has handled commercial fishing on both coasts it's hard to see the positive. Who knows maybe they can help do some good. Maybe Santa's going to bring me a twin to go to work for me too.
