Anyone know if Freds Custom Tackle or Chilliwack Dart and Tackle carry reel parts for Abu Garcia reels?
I need a new handle for my 6500C4 as well as the spacer washer that goes behind the handle, and I am unable to get to Mike's Reel Repair in Abbotsford. Any Vedder bound anglers from the city going to Mike's Reel Repair anytime soon that could pick one up for me (18 dollars for a new handle and 2 for the washer).
I need to get this reel fixed asap.
Thanks for any help. :)

Call them?
Part stocks are pretty low after this year's sockeye season I'm guessing.

I plan on calling both stores tomorrow so I'll answer one of my questions then. I have called Mike's Reel Repair and I know they have what I need in stock.... I just can't get there to pick it up ???

can't they ship it to you? would only take a day or two?

I might need a new handle for my 6601 C4 soon, I noticed one of the knobs on it is slightly bent...probably from trying to horse in chums!

I picked up some parts for an abu reel I have from express reel service in abbotsford last week and was given a fair price and good service. So if you can't get the part from the other places I would check them out.

If you really need the parts badly you can have Mike's courier it to you on same day service. It will cost you a few pennies.

where are you located? And you should really consider upgrading to a power handle. I may have a spare one.

Reel is fixed thanks to the good people at Freds Custom Tackle.
andychan, I have the power handle on my 7000C3, I thought I'd stay with the dual knobs but thanks for your offer.

Why do you horse in the fish using the reel?
Let the rod do the hard work, that's what the rod is for.
And yes, Mike's Reel Repair is the way to go for parts. Shipping is cheap.

Express Reel Service has handles for 15$. Check out his website.
