Title: Tagged sockeye

Was out sockeye fishing today and saw a guy land a Sockeye with a yellow wire going through its dorsal fin along with a electronic tracking device in its throat. I looked at the fisheries website and they only mention the tags but not a tracking device, anyone know what the tracking device information is for and who might be collecting the data?

What are the odds of catching one of those fish.This guy should go out and buy a lotto ticket.
