Title: Man eaten by a shark by Jaws Beach Bahamas.
Post by: arimaBOATER on September 15, 2010, 11:00:10 PM
With the  WWW there are so many good & bad & out-right shocking stories that can be read daily. Some just seem alittle more mind boggling than others.
I'm sure some of ya read about how some guys were out in the water(Aug 29) with their boat & had engine trouble.
Two guys decided they would swim to the shore & get help. (don't know how far away it was from the boat to land)
Anyways the two guys didn't make it to shore ...
On Sept 4th a fisherman reeled in a 12 ft Tiger Shark & once he got it in the boat a man's leg comes out of the shark's mouth.
Ripped open the shark to find more body parts.
Via finger prints it proved to be one of the guys who tried to make it to shore.

Ironically Jaws Beach where the men tried to swim to is the area where one of the Jaws movies was filmed.  :o
The guys who stayed with the boat got assistance from passing boaters who found them adrift.

Andy "thanks" for posting article.
My web skills are not that great thus do not know how to do it.

Moral of the story...if ya know there can be sharks in the waters...DO NOT SWIM TO SHORE but stay with the boat. (or make sure 100% ya can make it to shore.)

Their facts are all screwy, I promise that there's no 45kg cutthroat trout ever been caught anywhere.  Maybe 45lbs cutty (doubtful), or 45jg lake trout (netted in NWT?).  What's to say those sonar blips aren't submerged logs?

I thought the same thing about the cuthroat fact. Anyone have an idea what a more reasonable figure woudlbe for the record?...
