I was wondering which rod would be better for battling steelhead on the Vedder, a CP 3106 or CP 3113? Any feedback would be much appreciated including input on personal preference.
Thanks
Justin

there both great rods,i have the 3106L and its awesome but 3113 is is longer and better for biger water!

I fished for a couple of seasons with a 3113 on te vedder it works great for steelies, especially for some of the bigger brutes, but it does the job just fine with smaller fish too,the lenght sure helps for some of those long drifts or the far side back ediies
i have a used one for sale if you like to purchase a used rod and save your self a few bucks,if you are intersted shoot me a pm,will go from there.

I prefer the 3113LB.

Only the L or LB model is the best for steelheading .

thanks for all the input. This rod will be used exclusively on the vedder.
Do any of you think the 3106 can handle those larger steelies?

I have G Loomis and shimano rods but I want something that I can feel the fish through the whole rod.

I use a Sage 596 the 5 power 9'6" rod will bring any chinook to the beach in no time and it is short enough for fishing coho slots tight to the shore.

No not a GLX a GL2 11 3' mooching rod.
Thanks for the input everyone :)

I opted for the 3113.
I can't wait to take it out to the river ;D ;D ;D.
