Title: sockeye flies
Post by: ray on September 10, 2010, 04:22:35 AM
In jeffs fishing report he lists a few flies to use for sockeye. I cant find anything on line for them so if anyone has a recipe it would be greatly appreciated. They are the nitnook, besure, green slime and cabbose. Thanks

Three of these patterns are from the "A compendium of Canadian Fly Patterns": Besure page 13, Green Slime page 25, and Nitnook page 81.

Caboose is an easy to tie but obscure pattern. Body and tail are holographic mylar, ribbed with lime green larva lace, with a beard and wing of lime green or chartreues calf tail.
