Title: Non-tidal Fraser River (upstream of Ruby Creek, August 31st 2010
Post by: deepcovehooker on August 31, 2010, 06:43:59 PM

Hit the Fraser just above Ruby Creek today.  Arrived about 7:00 am.  Have been there the lat three Tuesdays and hooked into a good number of sockeye and a few springs.

The wife like the sockeye season as she get a fresh sockeye dinner every Tuesday.

Today lost two fish at the shore and landed a 8lb sockeye.  My buddy hooked into a big spring but lost it as his leader had some nicks out of it.  That happens when you are bottom bouncing.

Ruby Creek is on the north side of the river on Hwy 7.  You head to Harrision Hot Springs and then out Hwy 7 for about 20 minutes towards Hope.
