Title: we'd like to return your rod....
Post by: Gooey on August 21, 2010, 05:21:40 PM: A guy was kind enough to transport my fishing party off a bar today...the back of his pick up saved us a long and some what wet walk.

Unfortunately when we hopped out of the back of the truck, my buddy picked up one of the driver's rods thinking it was mine. I was busy giving him a handful of betties as a "thanks for the ride" and we ended up walking off with an extra rod :-[

Hope it doesn't ruin your weekend but by all accounts the fishing is lousy right now. Do email me with your contact details and I'll arrange to get your rod back ASAP.

This guy had a jacked up ford...looked quite new and he had both arms tattooed between the elbow and shoulder and I think he had his son wth him, little blonde haired kid.

There were 4 adults in his fishing party and two of em were in a second smaller truck (blue).

Ringing any bells with anyone?

I should have taken more care, I was focussed on my kids and giving the guy a small token for his help...by the time I turned around the rods were already in my car. no reason to stop being helpful...good reason to start being more careful.

anyhow, it was not a sage with a calcutta...nice try though chris ;)

I have left my info at Hubs, Freds, Reaction, and Searun...hopefully I can find this fellow.

I thought you found the owner, thats why i thought it was great.

I'm sure the person that gave you the ride thinks it was stolen.
he's kicking himself now for giving the ride.

Are you the guy that drove the truck...the guy with the tats? If the anser is no, the rods not yours.
