Title: Campbell River, August 12th 2010: Pink salmon
Post by: gman on August 17, 2010, 07:23:48 AM
I fished there a couple of times  last week, the last time Thursday Aug 12. There were still lots of pinks, mosti n great shape. Also saw a couple of springs landed. Probably still fishable for a  a while. Thre were lots of people, but nothing worse than the Vedder say. Taught the kids to float fish for salmon, and a good trime was had by all.  Though I am now sick of eating pink salmon. :)

Hello, I'm new to the site and have not fished much so could not post anything. I finally did get out fishing on Aug 21 and fished the Campbell River for Pinks. There is still a lot of fish in the river but they are starting to show their colours for spawning. It was still fun to catch and release as these fish are pretty feisty. There is the odd one that is still silver but what I saw most of the fish are starting to turn a greenish colour.
