I hit the upper Fraser at 6 am, I fished in between pegleg and gill road. My first cast exploded, losing all my gear and a horrible rats nest. I retied and hit a sockeye, fought him for about 3 seconds then gone. Next cast fish on, this time the fish didnt move to much at first then decided to attempt to spool me. I had to make the decision to lose my first spring of the year by breaking him off, I am sure not too happy at this point. I once again retied and proceeded to hoook sockeye after sockeye. I had my limit within 1hour and decided to hit the road and tackle rush hour traffic, should have kept fishing instead. Anyway was a great day to catch some fish and have some good laughs with some other anglers on the river.

Good report lude98r. It is great to see people having a good day on the river and enjoying the company of other anglers on the river. We normally only get to read "second or third hand or I heard about" about fights or disputes among anglers . I have never seen this negative behavior in my time spent n the river over the years.
Too bad about the spring, but that is a hazard of shore fishing. Sometimes even a long bar isn't long enough. Twice this year we haven't got to the boat fast enough to chase springs. Twice we have, so for us 50% is pretty good.
