Title: coquihalla river - othello tunnels

Can you fish down the othello tunnels on the coquihalla that runs through?
are there any trout in there? anyone been there recently?
im going there on the weekend just thought id as if it would be worth my while to bring along my flyrod?
any info?

NVM.. regs say its closed.
but does anyone ever go down there when open and have success?

One the rare occasion that the river opens it is only open above the Othello tunnels.

Was just down cycling with the family at the tunnels last weekend. Saw some nice fish holding in some calm water and watched several try to jump up a tight whitewater seam with no success.

This is the 2006 opening information:

open July 22, 2006 through October 14, 2006

o upstream of the lower entrance to the lower railway tunnel
o release all trout/char, including steelhead
o fly fishing only (bait ban)

Look at the regs, its open below the tunnels in the winter bait ban release everything, no problem no fish.
