Hey Guys,
I have some kids from out of town. Was going to take them to Buntzen, but I heard it was closed because they were changing out BC Hydro Turbines, and that causes flooding.?!?
Does anyone have pics of this place, I'd like to see what it's like now.
Is it a waste to time to go there?
Thanks,
Obi

I was there a couple weeks ago and it was not closed. The water was high but they built an add on to the dock so there is access. I could drive close to the water but not actually use the launch.

trout fishing is slow, so troll slow and about twenty or twenty-five feet down. willowleaf weddingring combo with worms works well.
best of luck.

The park is not closed, fishing spots are just limited because of the higher water level. Like Bavarian Raven said, fishing is slow.
In my opinion, a better alternative would be to drive five minutes from your place to one of the spots in Steveston for chubs and pikeminnows. ;D There are lots of them right now. We've been having a great time catching them lately.
