The Fraser still looks the same as a couple of weeks ago, muddy but now it just has several hundred people standing along it everyday.

Don't expect any sockeye opening in the next two weeks. The earliest when an opening on sockeye might be issued is August 6th.

If you are going up to Hope and target chinook salmon, be aware of the slot size limit. Any fish under 30cm and over 77cm must be released with care.

Don't know if you are going to be heading out to Vancouver Island but in the Campbell River  and surrounding area, the pink salmon have started to show up. Those fish can be a lot of fun to catch on a spinning rod, throwing spoons or spinners.

heard of a number of springs on the vedder.  Scale had 6 fish bonked among 20 fishers day before last.  several lost or released (oversized).

Keep in mind its a max of 77cm right now (so im told).
