Worked half the day downtown and decided to go fish with my son Kieran.
Before we got down to fishing, he decided that he wanted to experience a smalltown diner. Having drove by Yarrow countless times but never stopping to enjoy anything, I decided to look for my son's "small town diner". We did find a nice place and sat down for a nice lunch- it was simply delicious as my son put it.
We got down to our fishing spot around 3:00pm. Right off the bat, I saw many risers...some sockeyes and some large springs.
We fished for 3 hours managing to hook only into sockeyes but no Springs.
Couple pictures to show....

I was in that exact area this morning and only one small spring pulled out and it was also the only one showing itself :-\

Great report, glad you guys got into some fish! Careful with releasing your sockeye (and any salmon, for that matter) - they're better off if they don't get dragged up into a couple of inches of water before they're let go.
Cheers!

an inch or two of water will provide a sufficient cushion so the fish is unlikely to injure itself and will keep water on its gills (lots of disturbed sediment in the water isn't good for the gill tho'). Nothing wrong with your handling of the fish judging by the photo.
