I'm going up to Domenic Lake to spend a few at my buddy's cabin. Busy fishing there, but not much size wise. Any suggestions for a day trip in that area? I don't want to go to Tunkwa, but there seems to be a few other worthy tarns and I'm all ears.

Was at Tunkwa Lake first week of June and was hearing that Logan Lake was doing well catching 2+ lbs. rainbow. The dock was doing well as well fishing with black with red rib chironomids. Try a few of the other lakes out there and look into Leighton, Mamette, or even Roche and Lac Le June if you're around the area. Happy fishing and Tight Lines!

Thanks! I'm leaving at 5 tomorrow morning and I'm definitely stoked. For years we tented and Colemaned, it's kind of sweet sleeping in a cabin with all the trimmings. ;D ;D ;D

anyone been up to roche or horseshoe lately? any reports?
I was there for May long weekend and it was pretty good but heard it slowed down a lot since then. Also saw lots of mayflies hatching. If I go should I stick with chronies even if mayflies are around?

I was at logan lake last sunday...fishing there for the first time...interesting lake.
First thing you notice is the THICK green algae around the boat lanch area, second thing you notice is the shiners swimming around in it. given a few years i imagine trout can get pretty big in there.
It would be a good idea to wash your boat AND trailer after launching here. If left it will spread those noxious weeds to the next lake you launch at.
