The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC and City of Surrey are hosting a family fishing day at Green Timbers Lake (http://www.fishingwithrod.com/articles/region_two/green_timbers_lake.html) on Saturday June 12th. From 10:00am to 1:00pm, kids under the age of 16 can experience rainbow trout fishing under the guidance of Learn to Fish program instructors.
Free rod and reel will be available for borrowing for those who do not have one. The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC will be running regular mini fishing lessons throughout the event as well as displaying a live aquarium of BC freshwater gamefish. Other highlights include random draw prizes and various games and craft activities by the City of Surrey.
Green Timbers Lake is stocked on June 9th so anglers can expect good fishing at this Saturday’s event!

Bumping this back to the top! We'll also be there with FFSBC tomorrow, so come by to get your fish ID cards etc and for a chat before catching some fish. :)
