Title: Lund, Sunshine coast
Post by: vancook on June 04, 2010, 12:37:22 AM
Heading up to Lund for the Canada day long weekend with a few friends. Anyone familiar with fishing up there? We have a boat etc. I'm told the crabbing/prawning is main catch and not so much fish.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Lot's of closed areas around there check the DFO site. Don't use bait trolling or your going to be shin deep in Mudshark. Bring some Buzz Bombs.

Lots of BIG sea perch up that way around rocky points and pilings but as tb said, check for closures.

some of the most beautiful water around...just keep in mind the riptide in some areas can get a little vicious...follow the shorelines and you can pretty much hook into fish (of course taking closures into consideration).

great place for picking oysters too.

I'll be sure to stop by there before we head off to camp.
Any fish action would be great. I haven't been on the ocean for about 10 years....been cleaning and oiling up all my reels and digging out my salt water tackle
