Do any of you ever fish Chilliwack Lake--If you do--Do you have any advice to part with about where to fish the lake and what to use--I mainly fly fish but have not had any success at this location. Thank You in advance.

When the water is high there is a sandy shoal at the far end (opossite side of the outflow) of the lake...  Most lures should work but I had good sucess with small rubber fish like this except mine was white with a blue stipe http://www.stormlures.com/products/luresdetail.cfm?modelName=wildeye_swim_shad234&freshorsalt=Fresh&type=soft_lures.  The fish I caught were chalk full of earth worms.

Its a deep lake, we had most our luck in the bay by the waterfall. Some fresh steelhead hanging around near the mouth, remember you cant fish the mouth beyond the shallow sandbar.

Not much of a waterfall, more of a spring runoff. Its on the west side of the lake, also try around the stumps at the mouth of the lake, Iv heard from others thats a good place to toss a fly. Also there were fresh steelhead sitting at the mouth last weekend. I guess you could say you caught yourself a nice rainbow if you were beyond the sandbar boundary. Let us know whats going on over there.

Bring a down rigger, see if you can pull a pig out of there.

Otherwise, any steelie you catch in the lake is "just a rainbow", right?

There's no absolute foolproof way to tell apart steelhead from large resident rainbow, is there?
