Title: Bear Creek
Post by: Preliator on May 13, 2010, 08:35:53 PM
Hey guys! Fantastic weather we're having, great time to be out, isn't it? Well, I've been in trade school the past few weeks and havnt found much time to hit the water. My school is in Surrey, which Im not too familiar with - but my drive down King George takes me by Bear Creek. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about it, and if it's worth stopping off on my way home! Thanks!

You might want to read the regulations on that one. ;)

Closed all year above 152 street. Flows into the Serpentine which is closed from April 1st to June 30th. Join the great unwashed at Green Timbers. :)

PVC, that's the school I'm driving from  ;)
Had no idea that it was closed all year, definitely glad I asked. Was it overfished and threatened in the past?

Had some wonderful fishing there 30 yrs ago when i was starting to fish.My buddies dad (God rest his soul) was quietly catching cutthroat and was a little perturbed whan we showed up to share in the bounty.Very few anglers knew about it and the fishing at certain times of the yr was excellent. If its closed, then like most of our small streams has been depleted. The human race has done alot of damage to our planet.Look whats happening in the gulf of Mexico right now.
