Title: Recycling neoprene waders?
Post by: clarki on April 25, 2010, 10:57:00 AM
This pack rat has come to the reluctant conclusion that there is no need to keep storing his starter pair of waders that he hasn't worn in 10 years and are so full of holes that they are impractical to repair.

I hate to send them to the landfill. Do any businesses/organizations recycle neoprenes?

Good idea and topic...

maybe make fly patches, cut the feet for some warm socks, leg warmers...  reel pouches...anyone else?

Have placed calls to a tackle retailer and a wader manufacturer and there does not appear to be a recycling program for neoprene waders.

Rather than landfill all of it,  I'm thinking big pieces of it would become very nice mats to put my footsies on when getting changed at the back of the vehicle. Time to start cutting...
