Title: Ivey Lake
Post by: Driller on April 11, 2010, 07:32:47 PM
Fished Ivey lake on Saturday.  Beautiful little lake with a breathtaking view of Mt. Currie.  Upon arriving, I was pleased to see that the "steep trail" down to the lake wasn't too bad.  My 10 foot boat has wheels I can attach to move it around and this saved me 6 or 8 extra trips up and down the hill.  Once on the water I was able to see several large trout cruising the shallows.  I was impressed with the size.  The smallest fish I saw was in the 16" range and a few were probably over 20".  I fished for half of the day, and got skunked.  I hooked into 5 or 6 fish, but landed nothing.  It was a beautiful day  and the temp was warm.  I would definitely recommend trying this lake out if you are looking for something different.  The lake is very small and a belly boat or pontoon would be perfect.

It is a catch and release, artificial fly only lake.
