Took the boat to Mill Lake on Sunday. It was a little windy but still quite comfortable.
Tried Chronomids for a while but no takers - this time last year was crazy with several 70 fish days.
I remained anchored and put on a sparsely dressed un-weighted leech and with a 6" strip I was into a 4 big broodies and a few smaller ones.
I was solo in the boat so it was pretty difficult to get quality shots with my cell phone but I did manage to snap a few without dropping a fish into the boat or my phone in the lake.
3-wt flyrod made this fishery a blast. All the fish were released for more fun later.

Nice fish. I have never been to mill, it looks like a good fishery.

wow. Those are some of the nicest broodies i've seen. Great pics too! especially for a cellphone. What kinda phone you using?

The pics did turn out alright. The phone is some kind of Samsung armoured flip-phone - 1.3mp camera

good varieties of fish there. I remembered the last time i fished there (last may), i caught a small cutty, a rainbow and a sunfish. all by the dock side.
