Was on the Vedder River this morning, at first light. I was fishing with, a small pink jig, short floating. The float goes down, fifteen minutes later, after a good fight. A twenty-five pound, Silver Spring was being carefully released. During the fifteen minutes the blood was pumping, I through this is going to be a good size steelhead. No camera, but I thought it was interesting. I did not expect to land a spring this time of year.

Saw a spring caught in the canal on Wed evening, about 15 pounds and chrome. It was carefully released. I took home a small hatchery steelhead, about 5 pounds or so.
