Has anyone been to Dave's sporting goods for fishing tackle ? How are the prices ?

I like to give the local shops my buisness...so cant help you there.

daves is pretty good the only difference between him and local stores is his bass gear try to keep your money on this side of the border support our local stores

Dave's is a really sweet tackle shop, definitely worth taking a look. The prices are usually very good in cross border comparison. I do shop local quite a bit but I am a dual citizen so we spend a lot of time down south as well as money (buy nearly all our groceries and beer down there)

I spend more than enough in local tackle shops. Prices are always crappy and service is average.
They don't get a free pass from me just because they are local.
I bought my baitcaster from Dave's. Abu 6500-C3 saved more than $75 and I was down there anyways.
He was easy to deal with.

I have known Dave for 30plus years and shop there often, he can get stuff we can't find up here and his prices are excellent. Dave also supperts our fisheries up here and has sent many of his customers to charter outfits and local guides over the years, he is also a really good guy and service is top notch, i shop locally for the most part but know if i can't find something here Dave can usually get it.
