As most lower mainland lakes are stocked and have no natural fishery of their own it's slim pickings and pretty slow. I won't bother fishing them again until the spring once they've been stocked again.

However, I have heard of some guys catching the odd rainbow at Sasamat lake this month

Been blanked only twice in about 20 trips to Sasamat this year, started fishing there middle of January. I've had 4,5,6 fish days and most days catch at least 1. The last 2 days were slow. I went to Lafarge and caught 1 yesterday.

Buntzen is still too cold to be productive, yet if you fish near the bottom with eggs or shrimp you can get them pretty consistently.

I'd try Sasamat, go to the floating bridge and you'll probably see me there. I go nearly every day.

I fished at Como Lake today for about an hour and a half.
I got in a 5 pound carp on power bait. It really surprised me when I saw it. It took a while to get in and was a fun fight.
I hooked into 2 trout landing only 1. I hooked them both on a wedding band and a green power bait worm.
