Title: Is There Something Better Than Powerbait Now?
Post by: Sam Salmon on February 04, 2010, 09:00:22 PM
The thread about best baits for winter Trout got me to thinking.....

Haven't used Powerbait for years it always washed off the hook too easy but that was years ago so-What's New?

Is the Same Old better than ever or is there a New Kid on the block?

--On wobble spoons which I use frequently I don't like to have bait on the hook or I would use bait or plastic being aware of how it will change the spoon action. Often bait on a smaller hook can reduce hook ups.
--Where bait is legal to use I most often use scent rather than bait.
--I use anise oil or fishsticks lure enhancer.
--fishsticks is a hard paste similar to a wax so can apply to soft plastics, spoons or hooks. It will last longer than the anise oil and is not as messy.

Berkley Gulp, there not plastics but biodegradeable, and they are awesome.
