went to Squamish river today and did not catch any fish. After the heavy rain fall the river looks a bit different again. Where my fishing hole use to be now it's foot deep  filled with gravel and sand.  :-\
Talked to other fly fishers and nobody caught anything not even a bite. No sign of fish except rotting carcases.

I've had several brilliant days over the last two weeks.  Nymphing egg patterns has been outstanding, provided you can find where the fish are holding and assuming you know the technique.  I had to spend several fairly fruitless days searching before I found good holding water.  I've got one spot right now that is producing consistently, with the best day yielding around 35 fish ranging from 12+ inches to 24 inches.  Sea run dollies, bulls, resident rainbows and the first big cutts that I've ever caught on the Squish.  There are fishable spots even at flows as high as 3 metres (on the brackendale gauge) and only a few feet of viz is necessary if you can run the nymphing technique well enough.

Even if you blank out, it's still a great place to explore.
