Title: Crescent Beach & White Rock, January 6th 2010: Cutties From Shore
Post by: colin6101 on January 06, 2010, 03:22:20 PM
Went searching for some cutthroat between Crescent Beach and White Rock today at high tide. Didn't manage to locate any with the fly rod but did manage to hook into a small 8" or so trout using a small silver spoon. Beautiful day out and was a great day to practice with the fly without anyone else around. I can't wait until Quadra Island again this summer and lots more cutthroat from the beach.

There are some NICE cutties down there, along with the occasional coho in fall. One pleasant June evening a couple years ago my buddy caught and gently released a cutt that measured 22 inches.
