Title: how many steelies this year

Post by: kingpin on December 29, 2009, 04:15:58 PM: the river is pretty bad this year...might be the fact that its the most crowded I or other local guys have ever seen it. only 1 hatchery fish to the beach and another rolled, not what I would call stellar ::)

Post by: deepcovehooker on December 29, 2009, 04:36:12 PM: Out for the day on Monday. Fished for about 5 hours. Three runs up near Allison and then 1 1/2 hours down at K/W Bridge. Had one good hit just above Allison but that was it for the day. My buddy had one hit at Allison. Did not see any fish landed anywhere on the river.

The Clearwater is an awesome river. Most up here in BC havent a clue to not only the size of the river but the fish as well.
Spuds and steelhead Idaho has lots of both ;D

2009 was a good year to say the least :)
Really missed the Coq not opening tho.

T on Thursday to finish off '09...steelheading.

I took it as being this season...not last spring and before that.

Post by: Steelhawk on February 11, 2010, 04:15:49 PM: 1 in 4 trips. Used to have a dozen hookup by now. This season is not looking good so far. Why all the big numbers are from fishing elsewhere except the Vedder? I guess fishing in the city is only for the small trout and not the biggies ??? ;D
