I went and explored Norrish Creek for a while today and as expected the water was very low and extremely clear. Did not manage to connect or see any salmon this morning but did end up having a small cutthroat take my roe at one point. Although not exactly productive, it was a beautiful cold day out there.

Was up that way last week too, way too low, only saw a few very spooky and coloured fish. Watch out for the quicksand have had a couple of nasty surprises on the last two trips I made there. Will give it one more try if we get a bit of rain next week. Have spoke to guys who have caught the odd Coho in January. Its a nice place for a stroll anyhow.

where is the best place to park?
-
I don't know about the best place to park, I always just park at the gates on the end of Hawkins Pickle Road. Im sure some other people have some favorite spots but will be loathe to share them, where I mentioned is a good starting place to explore though. It's considered a wildlife protection area so make sure you tread lightly and pick up after yourself out there.
