Title: Stave River, November 29th 2009
Post by: Clarki Hunter on November 29, 2009, 03:32:31 PM
I managed to get out today on the Stave.  Lookin for cutties I started at the Alouette but it's unfishable... high and fast.  All the pockets and riffles are gone, so I headed out to the stave.  I think there were a total of 6-7 people on the whole river.  I was on the west side and ran into a buddy, we fished it and found nothing.  There were still some old chum and a few coho around the side channels but no cutties.  We did manage to finally find a few in one of the spots, but the wife clock ran outta time so back home we went.  Really quiet out there today  :-[ but at least the weather was ok and the company was good.  ;D

Thanks for the report.  I was wondering if it was still worth a trip to the Stave for some cutthroat fishing.
