Title: Horseshoe Lake, October 25th 2009
Post by: yamadirt 426 on October 26, 2009, 09:26:47 PM
Fished this lake for 3 hrs on the 25th of oct on my way back from hunting kamloops. Landed 3 rainbows 2 on a leach and 1 on a blue fox and father in law brought 1 brookie and 1 rainbow to the boat. Nice lake. Miss a few other takers. Ice was building around the edges and the guides were freezing up. Good fun for a couple hours.

Is that Horeshoe lake near Roche?

If so, did the water have quite a bit of color to it? I fished it before in the late sprig and the water was very colored.......although we still caught fish. I'm just wondering if the water always has color, or if that is a late spring/early summer algae type bloom.

Yes that is the same lake you speak of. I did notice a bit of green floating in the water. Actually a lot of it. Vis was probably about 4'. Still a very nice lake
