I had an idea for a thread about great deals on gear that you have seen in the stores.
For example:
At Army & Navy in NWest on October 15th, I saw a left-handed Shimano marked down from $129 to around $95.

Good idea

Thought I might resurrect this thread now that the salmon fishing frenzy is over.
I bought myself a nice Steelhead rod today at Army & Navy in Langley.
Got a Trophy XL TCS5100C - 10' - line wt 8-15lbs
Regular price 89.99 - marked down to around $70 including tax.
Going to go nice with my CP reel. ;)
There are some great deals on other rods as well at A&N right now.

Trophy Hunter - you should try calling or emailing Cabelas directly and see if they cant raincheck it ;) its worth a try i think. thats kind of weird that you cant pick other sizes though because my boots were on backorder when i ordered them so i just had to wait longer for them to arrive.......and im still waiting LOL because my g/f's parents friends from the US are bringing them up for me ;D

I think Simms discontinued those boots several years ago. The last time I was in Reaction Tackle I saw a whole pile of the same boots on sale (very cheap), but the biggest size was 8.
