Title: Tidal Fraser River, October 18th 2009
Post by: Dr. Backlash on October 18, 2009, 07:56:15 PM
Finally got out today (been real busy at work lately - catching up from the many days I ducked out early last month to catch some pinks) and fished the incoming tide for a few hours this afternoon until 6pm.  No fish landed for me, but I did see a lot of fish rolling/jumping - a lot of fish!  Water clarity was excellent, and there wasn't much wind either; in fact, fishing conditions were awesome; I just couldn't entice any to bite.  Probably had 4 or 5 good hits throughout the day, but I was way too slow to set the hook.  Judging by the amount of fish I saw, I will probably be ducking out from work early this week ;D

Those are mostly chum salmon rolling around. It's pretty unusual for them to take both lures and bait down here. I've only caught or seen them caught a few times.

No fish for me today, had a brief touch on the spinner in 4 hours.
