has anyone fished the alouette recently, and if so, how was it fishing? 8) i am going to be out that way tomorrow and was wondering if it would be worth my time fishing there. thanks in advance for any advice 8)

Caught lots of carp there about a month ago, don't know how it is now.

Where on the Alouette do you fish for carps? I would think some of the Pitt River sloughs (e.g. Sturgeon) around there would be more productive for carp.
-
Nothing in there really. I was down yesterday to have a look and the pinks are not even around yet. Went to all my usual spots and nothing around.
-
Pretty much any calm water. But it is pretty hard to catch them. They get spooked really easily and sometimes it is hard to locate them.
-
I walked along the river last weekend and didn't see a single fish. Seems odd, I thought in the past they were stacked in there by this time of year.

I can only imagine its pretty low right now and the Allouette is pretty rain dependant.
I do know that it is dam controlled but they let out as little as they have to.
Wont be long and you will be able to walk across the Chum as usual.

Yes, the water was quite low.

For those that are thinking of fishing this system please remember that there is no retention of pinks and chum and you may only retain 1 hatchery marked coho and 1 spring. I was out today and saw one guy going to bonk a pink until I told him his was not allowed. People really need to read the regs.

Anyone been there within the last few days?
