I'm wondering if there's some kind of a "dictionary" or an "encyclopedia" for fishing terms.
The thing that sparked up this thought is I've heard of baitcasting reels, centerpin, mooching reels, levelwind reels, etc.
I have a spin reel, and I'm aware of what it is, but not sure what the other ones are and how they're different..?
But not just that, I was wondering if there's any that'll tell all the terms such as them.

fishing terms, lingo and equipment knowledge I've learned often reflect ones commitment and experience level to the 'sport' like many other complex activities ie. golf ,automechanics. It depends though on the diversity of fishing you do, there are many different ways to fish and different types of equipment and terms for each. I was once run through the ringer for refering to a male fish as a 'bull', rather than a 'buck' :-X.
Fishing for dummies maybe, there seems to be one for everything else.

Believe it or not there is a book titled: Fishing for Dummies. Saw it at Save On Foods.
