Title: boat launches near langley?
Post by: Truecast on September 18, 2009, 12:54:55 PM
Hey everyone, I've been fishing the pink run at my favorite spots in langley from shore and would like to take my boat out in the same general area (derby reach - duncun bar) but don't know of any boat launches and can't find any from the usual  sources. Some local knowledge would be much apreciated. I have a 14' runabout and don't need a wonderfull launch or much water to get out there.

There is a boat launch in fort langley in the bedford channel. The launch is right behind the restauant "bedford house" . Great launch to use as it is about half way between duncan bar and derby reach.

There is a not so wonderful launch in Fort Langley. (bad at low tide and limited parking).  Going down the main drag towards the old Albion Ferry, take a right at IGA, and first left into park. The next closest would be under Port Mann or Mission I believe. I heard that Haney has one but don't live on that side.

Geff t

I live in Pitt Meadows and have never heard of a boat launch in Hammond behind the mill. Do you know exactly where it is, the launch at Haney Marine is to shallow for my boat at low tide and the other one a Pitt marina is always a gong show.

Thx

Bill

I will take a shot at this since Jeff responded to this in 2009, There was a launch at industrial marina pretty much right under the golden ears bridge on warfe street, at one time I was intrested in this but he wanted 10 or 15 bucks to launch, I have since been told it is no longer open to the public but if your in the hood it is worth a look, good launch and good parking and no traffic.

Sorry about not answering I have been going threw alot of personel stuff the last few months and the last few weeks have been the most stressful. I have been meaning to check out the exact location since I have just recently moved to that side of town but with my mobility issues, even with driving, I have not been able to get out much. I will try to get down there in the next week or so if my health issues allow me to get out of the house.
