Just curious how often people visit the hatchery? Every trip, every couple trips, once a season, never?
Myself, I stop by at least once a year now that I no longer live in the area. When I bring a newbie, I make sure to always take them their.

Once a year for me. :)
-
Its a good fishing hole, I try and get out for some casts as much as possible. :)
-
i go that one and the chehalis as much as i can i love going there to see the fish
-
I would say during the fall I am there every second trip, I don't know what it is I love just standing there and watching the fish. My wife thinks it is weird I brought her once and she couldn't understand how I could just stand there and stare at fish as she put it.

I agree with bigfisher, thats one hole I have never been skunked at :D :D

Ya, thats pretty much the reason I asked because I'm virtually the same.

I will go an average of every second trip.
I like to go and see if certain species are in the system yet.
Very interesting watching the fish in there.

In case he's NOT kidding....
Just keep heading up the road along the river until you see it. It's a nice drive.
-
I try to go there 3 or 4 times a year. If i having a slow day or no fish showing i will grab some lunch and check the hatchery for a hour then get back to fishing.
-
When the runs are in, I start my day low down in the river and move up throughout the day. I allways end around 3 or 4pm with a stop in to the hatchery. I loved watching the egg takes and the guys are allways friendly to chat to.

i always thought the hatchery was there ... but there was a sign that said "private road " or somethin like that .. so i turned around .

Drive past about 100 meters and you'll find another parking lot hidden in the trees on the left hand side ;D

I enjoy taking my daughter up there once every couple of months to see lots of big fish all at once. It's a nice, relaxing time.

Better to ask than just go do it. Good on you for that but no I don't know of a hatchery that allows you to fish "at it". ;)

I do the same thing. If I don't catch anything at least I will have seen a few

2-3 times a year. Always like to see the big ones that got away.
