Title: Fall fishing for rainbows

I am booking some time off to fish for rainbows at an awsome lake with lots of fish and great place to stay. The only thing is... I don't know where this is. Does anybody have any suggestions

Try Roche.. It's got lots of good size fish, nice cabins, and lots of other lakes close by

Try Tunkwa Lake, lots of big trout, my biggest trout from Tunkwa was 5 pounds. Try wedding bands, quick fish and also spinners and spoons. If you fly fish try micro leaches, mayflies and pumpkin seeds.  ;)

Tunkwa average 2lb fish. A 5lb'er is very rare. BTW its not pumpkinseeds its pumpkinheads LOL

I would go to Roche in the fall. Lots of bruisers in the shallows. Also do the surrounding lakes and make Roche your base camp.

Oh ya your right, it is pumpkinhead, pimpkinseed is the fish. LOL

I ran into 2 or 3 people with fish around 3-5 pounds 6 years back. But recently I have only encountered fish to 1.5 pounds in the last 2 years. I don't know why.

Almost any lake in the interior will be a good choice as the rainbows will be on a feeding frenzy before the lakes freeze over. I fish mostly up near Princeton and do very well in the fall.

Roche would be my choice as well. Next would have to be Tunkwa, or Johnson lake.

Is it busy at Roche before Thanksgiving ?
