Title: Great link for info on Pink Salmon
Post by: Dr. Backlash on August 25, 2009, 09:31:31 PM
came across this great web page with a whole lot of information on pink salmon: http://www.bcadventures.com/adventure/angling/protalk/reid/pinksalmon.phtml   I wonder if the fact that Pinks have a "an over-abundance of disease-preventing slime" helps to protect them from sea lice when they're really young and swimming past fish farms etc., and that's why there are so many pinks vs. other species of pacific salmon?

Thx; great website.
I always wonder about the sea lice on Pinks too.  Why do Pinks get them?  How do sea lice swim and find pinks and attach themselves to the fish?
