So,
it seems that there are some Very good deals on plane tickets from Toronto to Vancouver ($99)
This means I get to come back home for a fishing trip!
Since I only have one week, which should it be? thoughts?
I havent been for vedder cohos in a LONG time, whens the peak?
I havent been for vedder Springs in a LONG time!
I havent been for Chums in a long time either.
Last time pinks rolled through I went to Mamquam so that itch is sort of scratched (but when is the peak for mamquam pinks again?)
Man, I havent been fishing in forever!
So, when is the will be the magical week?

i recommend the last week of september or first week of october for the vedder. you can target chum, spring and coho.pinks too. You can also fish chehalis river for those species during that time depending on water levels. :)
Good luck!

First week of October.

For me this starts and ends with the last week of October/ first week of November. Mind you I prefer to fish rivers other than the Vedder.
IMO this is the perfect time to target the chromer coho on the north side. It's also still not too late in the year to find some nice coho action in the slow water on the Vedder. You'll also be getting into a few early Squamish chums at that time.

What? You're skipping the bi-annual Lower Fraser pink bash? :o
First or second week of October as others have said. Coho and chum salmon on the Vedder, spin fishery in the Tidal Fraser (coho, chum, cutthroat trout, bull trout), Chum salmon on the Squamish River, sturgeon fishing on the Fraser, trout fishing in lakes.

I agree with Biff, If could only fish 1 week in the that time slot it would be the last week of Oct.

So it seems my scheduling dictated it for me
I am back from October 17 - 25

Thats generally a great time to be out on the rivers, if all else fails hit up the stave for some chumtastic times. I've had decent success on the vedder, harrison and especially the Nicomen Slough all around that time.
