Title: Skagit River, August 5th 2009
Post by: mykisscrazy on August 06, 2009, 03:21:09 PM
Went after work for the evening hatch. River has dropped quite a bit since I was there last (not much of a surprise there). Few people on the river.
Fish came on like clockwork....but it didn't matter what I drift through...not one was interested in my offering!
First time ever - Skunked on the River - was there until I had to turn my headlamp on!
Very fustrating! but still a beautiful evening and an amazing river!

I was on the Skagit and Similkameen for the weekend.
Can't believe how poor Similkameen water clarity was.
Something must have happened because in July it was crystal clear.

i was fishing the similkameen last week and the water clarity was clear friday morning but had a huge rain storm come through in the afternoon and a big slide happened in manning park. It hasn't been the same since!
