yeah that's right time pays off. got my first spring of the season as the tide was coming up.... i have to say thanks to everyone on this forum for all the information, tips and tricks things can only improve from here.... tight lines

nice work!...were you bar fishing/bottom fishing? I've been out the last couple of weekends on the tidal portion, bottom fishing with roe on a spin'glow and only have a few nibbles to show for it...but I've seen more Sturgeon jumping than I've ever seen before, and I've also seen springs and the odd sockeye jumping on the incoming tide...like you said, I guess it's just a matter of putting in the time and eventually you get lucky!

ive found there is not enough current for the spin'n'glos down in the lower... i stick with the roe and sharp hooks and be ready. lots of fish around... has to be if the natives are out every five minuets drifting by..... seals are poking their heads up to gasp a breath before his late lunch.... look out when the tide is just starting to come in you can see the break water and surface... im excited this year might be something to remember....first salmon caught the lower <tidal> river for me... been two years trying....
had to do the family thing so maybe one day after work i might head on down and check it out.... take it easy

Nice jack spring. These fish become much more abundant toward the end of August and that's when bottom fishing with roe is really productive.
