Title: mcknight spoon

my grandpa gave me a mcknight spoon
its about 4" long by 5/8" at its widest
would it be for trout or salmon?

Sounds like one of McKnight's Needlefish Spoons. If so, it should have that stamped on it into the metal. What color?

If it is what I think it is, this spoon is DEADLY on springs whenever they are targeting needlefish...

I think its brass but it looks alot like copper
its tarnished like brass though

You can find some on the net, ebay have some for sale
mcknight being the brand name
5 is the # size

A good metal polish like Nevr Dull (http://www.nevrdull.com) will bring back the original shine and you can dress it up to be half & half with some prismatic tape.

It's a deadly lure still.

Toothpaste works well too!
