Spent the late afternoon from about 7:30-9:30 fishing off the bridge today. Tried chironomids until I back casted into a metal railing and fouled up my leader. I promptly put the fly rod away and rigged up my spincaster with a clear plastic float, with about a 5 foot leader and a small black spratley and slowly retrieved with it but no luck. I then switched to a 3g float about 12 feet deep with pink worms and brought in a couple 12 inch rainbows. Released them as my freezer is totally full of fish, but it was a nice evening none the less. Earlier this year I could get 20+ trout in a day, but it has slowed down considerably since then. :)
