Just wondering if there is any good pikefishing available in the Lower Mainland. I know everybody is focused on salmon right now but a friend of mine from Europe is going to visit me and that is his favourite fish. I know that the Yukon is good and Sasketchawan and some lakes in Alberta are very good too but that is too far away. Any ideas?

Agreed. Take it from someone trapped on the east side of the Rockies, pike have nothing to offer compared to trout and salmon.
I would compare them to toothier versions of a NPM.

The bad news is I have heard reports of them being caught at the upper end of Pitt Lake. I challenged the reports and am waiting for those who told me they were catching Pike to produce one. As of this point those giving me these reports have said they released the fish.

Maybe Pikeminnow for the Upper Pitt Lake situation. There are LMB up there so I have heard.

No, I suggested that these fellows were catching Pikeminnow. To which they insisted that they knew the difference and that they had caught Pike. still waiting to see one.
